Your Monday morning briefing — what changed, what matters, what to focus on

  1. agent ›Three priorities this week. #1 is the front page: revenue per session fell from DKK 9.80 to DKK 6.10 the day the new hero went live on Tuesday.
  2. you ›Isn't that just the autumn holiday? Traffic is always odd in week 42.
  3. agent ›Sessions are up 6% on last week, so the visitors came. Sessions that skip the front page converted as usual; only the ones passing through it fell. That points at the page, not the holiday.
  4. you ›Fair. What are #2 and #3?
  5. agent ›#2: 'Merino Wool Sweater' revenue is down 38% with traffic flat, so check its price and sizes. #3: bounce rate on /outlet went from 34% to 51% after Thursday's change to the filter bar.
  6. agent ›Together about DKK 61,000 a week. Start with the hero: it is the largest, and the quickest to undo.

What it does

Every week it reads the site's KPIs — sessions, revenue, conversion rate and bounce rate — against the week before, then looks at the pages and products that moved the most and at the most significant page changes Historian captured during the week. For every big movement it asks one question: did something change on the site, or did the traffic change? A metric that moved right after a page change is tied to that change, with Historian's own description of what was changed; a metric that moved across the whole site is put down to the traffic. The briefing ends with the three priorities for the team, ranked by the revenue at stake, each pointing to the page, product or change behind it — written to be read out in the Monday meeting.
