Platform Feature Parity Validator

Verifies feature parity and calculates revenue impact of regressions

  1. agent ›Parity gap on the new product pages: stock per size is gone. The old pages said 'Only 2 left in M'; the new ones list sizes only. Add-to-basket is down 9% on product pages since go-live.
  2. you ›The new platform has a stock badge. It's just styled differently.
  3. agent ›It shows 'In stock' for the product as a whole. The archived old page showed it per size. Now a sold-out size is only revealed after the visitor has picked it and pressed the button.
  4. you ›Is it really worth a custom build?
  5. agent ›Look at who lost the most: shoes are down 14%, bags — which come in one size — 2%. That pattern points straight at this feature. At current traffic the gap is about DKK 21,000 a week.
  6. you ›OK. Anything else on the list?
  7. agent ›Two smaller gaps: the delivery estimate on category pages and the 'recently viewed' row. Both measurable, both well under the stock gap — do this one first.

What it does

After go-live, it checks systematically that the new platform's pages still have the conversion-critical features and content of the old ones. Chronicle keeps the archived state of every old page, so the agent can compare what existed before the migration with what exists now, template by template, and find the missing elements, the features that work worse than before and the gaps in templates — the differences nobody notices by looking at the new site, but that show up in conversion. Each gap comes with the conversion change on the pages it affects and its revenue impact.
