Cart Abandonment Analyser
Detects cart abandonment spikes and diagnoses the most likely on-page cause
- agent ›Cart abandonment jumped from 68% to 79% yesterday. The spike is in mobile visitors from Google Ads; desktop and returning visitors are normal.
- you ›Our payment provider was down yesterday morning. Isn't that it?
- agent ›An outage would hit every device and channel alike, and this didn't. It also continued after the outage ended at 10:40: abandonment is still 78% today.
- you ›Then what's special about mobile visitors from ads?
- agent ›They come in on the campaign price. Since Monday's cart change, the campaign discount only shows at the delivery step, so the cart shows them a higher price than the ad did — and they leave there.
- agent ›Show the discount in the cart again. At yesterday's rate the spike costs about DKK 11,000 a day.
What it does
Some cart abandonment is normal; a sudden rise is not. Every day this agent compares your cart abandonment rate with its own rolling baseline and raises an alert only when the rise is statistically significant. Then it diagnoses: it checks the change timeline of the cart and checkout pages for recent changes to content or structure, and reads Historian's AI description of those pages for likely friction — missing trust signals, unclear shipping information, a confusing form, a payment option that disappeared. It also splits the abandonment by traffic type and device, so you know whether everyone is affected or one audience. The insight names the step, the size of the spike, who it hits, the most likely cause and the revenue at risk.
An example insight.

Checkout step 2 abandonment up 40% — on mobile only
Abandonment at checkout step 2 spiked 40% this week, on mobile only. It started the day the shipping options moved into a dropdown; desktop, where the options are still listed, is unchanged. This single change is the main revenue leak in checkout.
