Newsletter Revenue Analyst
Makes every email send count — tracks performance from click to purchase
- agent ›Thursday's newsletter visitors convert at 0.9%. Your last eight sends averaged 2.7%. The clicks were normal — 3,100 sessions. The drop happens after they land.
- you ›The subject line was weaker this time. Probably just a worse campaign.
- agent ›A weaker subject line means fewer clicks, not fewer orders per click. Look at the main link instead: it goes to /winter-boots, and that page was re-sorted on Thursday at 15:30, an hour after the send went out — before most of the clicks came in.
- you ›Right, the merchandiser re-sorted it. What changed?
- agent ›The three boots in the newsletter used to be the first row. Now they're in row 6. Pin them to the top again. Your sends keep bringing visitors for about three days, so there is still traffic to save.
What it does
A newsletter's job is not done when the email is opened: it is done when the click turns into an order. This agent follows the visits that come from your newsletters and emails from the click to the purchase, and finds which linked pages and products convert best. It compares each send with the ones before it. When newsletter traffic converts worse than usual, it checks the change history of the pages the newsletter links to — because the most common cause is a page that was changed after the send went out, so the email promises something the page no longer shows. The insight names the send, how its visitors converted against your recent sends, and the page or product behind the difference.
An example insight.
