Declining Interest Detector
Spots key elements slowly losing user attention before revenue impact becomes obvious
- agent ›The 'Free returns for 100 days' bar on your product pages is fading. Seven weeks ago 11.8% of visitors clicked it; last week 6.9%. It hasn't been changed since June.
- you ›If nothing changed, why should I care? It's a returns bar, not a buy button.
- agent ›Because visitors who click it convert at 4.4%, against 2.2% for those who don't. It reassures people just before they buy — and fewer of them notice it now.
- you ›How sure are you it's a real trend and not a few slow weeks?
- agent ›Confidence is high: 46,000 visits a week, down in six of the last seven weeks, on mobile and desktop alike. Try a new wording or a new position. If clicks are back above 10% in two weeks, it was fatigue.
What it does
Sudden drops get noticed. Slow ones don't: an element that 12% of visitors clicked six weeks ago and 7% click today has lost almost half its attention without anyone touching it. This agent follows the elements you have marked as key elements on your page templates and looks at their click share over a rolling six to eight weeks. It is not looking for jumps but for sustained, gradual decline, and it checks the element's change history to confirm that no edit explains it. The insight shows the trend, what the element is worth when it is clicked, and a confidence score based on the traffic behind it and how steady the decline is — so creative fatigue is found while it is still cheap to fix.
An example insight.
What a result from Declining Interest Detector looks like. The numbers are an illustration, not a customer's.
Promo banner engagement declining for 3rd consecutive week
The main promotional banner has lost 8% engagement each week for three weeks running. The creative has been live for 6 weeks without a change — well past the point where visitors stop noticing a placement like this.
