Landing Page Revenue Gap Agent
Benchmarks every landing page and surfaces the ones dragging down entry conversion
- agent ›Google Ads visitors land on /campaign/autumn-sale and convert at 1.2%. Other campaign pages on the same template average 2.9%.
- you ›That page gets our cheapest ad traffic. Of course it converts worse.
- agent ›Cheaper clicks, yes — but the same ad groups converted at 2.7% when they landed on /campaign/summer-sale in August. Same audience, different page.
- you ›So what's different about the page?
- agent ›The summer page opened with products. The autumn page opens with a full-screen video, and the first product comes after it. On mobile, 61% leave from the landing page, against 38% on the summer page.
- agent ›Put a row of four products above the video. At the template median, that's about DKK 27,000 a week while the campaign runs.
What it does
The page a visitor lands on decides much of what happens next. This agent ranks your landing pages by how the sessions that start on them convert and how much revenue they bring, and flags the pages that get significant paid or organic entry traffic but convert below the median for their template or for the site. For each one it compares Historian's AI description of the page with better-performing pages on the same template, and lists the structural and content differences: what the good pages have that this one lacks, or the other way round. The insight names the page, its entry traffic, the gap to the median, the likely cause and what closing the gap is worth.
An example insight.
What a result from Landing Page Revenue Gap Agent looks like. The numbers are an illustration, not a customer's.
Summer campaign landing page converts 55% below template average
The /summer-sale landing page converts at 1.4% while similar campaign pages average 3.1%. Unlike them, it has no clear call to action above the fold, and its first products sit below a large banner.
