Seasonal Opportunity Scout

Spots upcoming commercial moments and tells you if the site is ready

  1. agent ›Black Friday is 24 days away. Last year that week brought 2.6× your normal traffic and DKK 410,000 in revenue. Today neither the front page nor any category page mentions it.
  2. you ›We've decided not to run Black Friday discounts this year. Can't we just skip it?
  3. agent ›The traffic comes either way: 58% of last year's Black Friday sessions were direct or organic — people looking for you, not for a code. And 31% of that week's revenue came from products sold at full price.
  4. you ›So what do we put up instead?
  5. agent ›A page for those visitors: your bestsellers, the last order date for Christmas delivery, and a line on why you don't discount. Have it live by 17 November — that's when last year's traffic started to climb.

What it does

Seasonal peaks are planned weeks ahead, and the site is usually the last thing to be ready. Each week this agent goes through an opportunity calendar of holidays and seasonal events and checks each one against Historian's AI description of your front page, so a garden shop is not told to prepare for Halloween. For the events that fit and fall inside the planning window, it looks up last year's traffic and revenue for the same weeks to size the opportunity and see which categories drove it. Then it reads the current front page, hero and category pages to see whether the site already reflects the event. The insight names the event, what it was worth last year, when the traffic started to rise, and what is missing on the site today.

3 weeks to Black Friday — nothing on the site mentions it yet

Last year the Black Friday week brought 2.6× normal traffic and DKK 410,000 in revenue, led by outerwear and footwear. Today neither the front page, the hero nor the two leading category pages refer to it, and last year's traffic began to climb 10 days before.

Stop guessing why revenue dropped.
