Product Grid Position Analyzer
Optimizes grid product placement to maximize revenue performance
- agent ›On /womens-jackets, swap tile 2 and tile 9. Tile 2 is the 'City Parka': 1,900 clicks at DKK 4 per click. Tile 9 is the 'Storm Shell': 420 clicks at DKK 19 per click.
- you ›The City Parka is our new hero product. Marketing wants it at the top.
- agent ›Then keep it in the first row: swap the Storm Shell with tile 4 instead, the 'Fleece Liner', which earns DKK 2 per click on 1,200 clicks. The parka stays visible; the Storm Shell gets a top spot.
- you ›How do you know the Storm Shell won't do worse higher up?
- agent ›It sat at tile 3 in August and earned DKK 17 per click on 1,600 clicks. Position changes how many click; this product kept its revenue per click in both places. And it costs nothing to try.
What it does
The order of a product grid is free to change and rarely changed for a reason. This agent looks at the grids on your pages tile by tile: how many clicks each position gets and how much revenue the clicks on each product lead to. It uses the page's change history to know which product sat in which position and when, so a product's results are not confused with its position's. Where a high-earning product sits in a low position and a low-earning one holds a top spot, it recommends a specific swap. The insight names the page, the products and positions to swap, the numbers behind it and the expected revenue — a change that costs nothing but a re-sort.
An example insight.
What a result from Product Grid Position Analyzer looks like. The numbers are an illustration, not a customer's.
Three swaps on /sale could add DKK 15,000 a month
Three of the top six tiles on /sale earn under DKK 3 per click, while three products in rows 4–6 earn over DKK 12. Swapping them moves the highest-earning products into the positions that get the most clicks, at no cost.
