Social Media Strategist

Weekly, data-driven social media content plans based on trends, products, and context.

  1. agent ›Week 44: four posts. Tuesday, the wool socks — up 48% this week, and the weekend turns cold. Thursday, the new kids' rain set. Saturday, a behind-the-scenes post. Sunday, the last day of the autumn sale.
  2. you ›I'd rather push the new sneakers on Tuesday. That's what we just bought in.
  3. agent ›The sneakers have 410 product views in two weeks and 6 sales; the socks had 2,900 views and 210 sales. Visitors from social buy what is already moving.
  4. you ›So the sneakers get nothing?
  5. agent ›Give them Saturday instead of behind-the-scenes. Your social traffic on Saturdays is 70% mobile and browses more pages per visit — new products do best there. I've moved it in the calendar.

What it does

Social posts are usually planned from a hunch. Once a week this agent plans them from the shop instead: the products and categories that are rising, how visitors from social channels behave and on which devices, what is on your front page and what changed on the site this week, the weather, and the events in your calendar. Each post in the plan names the product or category, the angle and the day, and says why — the trend, the weather or the event behind it — so the plan can be questioned and changed. The planned posts go into your Historian calendar, next to the campaigns and events already there.
